Gia Mar Ramos

Regional ambassador: Puerto Rico

Over the past year, Gia Mar Ramos, a freshman from Saint John's School in Puerto Rico, has collected a staggering number of accolades for her exceptional work in S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). A 2017 ProjectCSGIRLS National Winner, Gia Mar has also garnered significant recognition for her performance in academic competitions like Math Olympics and VEX Robotics. Recently, Gia Mar has earned her most prestigious accolade to date: The NCWIT (National Center for Women & Information Technology) National Award for Aspirations in Computing. She was one of only 41 students nationwide and the only 9th grader and Puerto Rican to earn this honor from a pool of over 3,600 applicants.



Charissa Kim

Regional ambassador: California

Charissa Kim, an eleventh grader, has had extraordinary accomplishments such as her annual placement in CyberPatriot Nationals (the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition Finals), winning first in the All Service Division this year. Last year, she placed second at the 2017 CyberPatriot Nationals. Her achievements spread across various cyber-related competitions, her programming skills (specifically Java and HTML), and her passion for cybersecurity in her community. Charissa is also a distinguished student and has received acknowledgment from competitions such as Mock Trial and Speech & Debate. Charissa hopes to raise awareness about cybersecurity, computer science, and the S.T.E.M field across the world. 



Philemon Kuza

Regional ambassador: Ibadan, Nigeria

Philemon Kuza is in his final year at the College of Medicine at the University of Ibadan. He is the founder of Success Seminar Initiative (S.S.I), a platform that has offered mentorship to and led over 200 high school students and first year undergraduates towards self-discovery. He is an advocate of Open Access, Open Data, and Open Education. Philemon’s work towards ensuring universal, equitable education resulted in his designation as a Class of 2018 Millennium Fellow, a joint initiative between the United Nations Academic Impact and the Millennium Campus Network. Philemon hopes to inculcate cybersecurity and digital citizenship into the programs of S.S.I to help raise awareness and arm students with necessary tools. 


Nadeem Mohammed

Regional ambassador: Kerala, India

Nadeem Mohammed is a 3rd year Electronics and Communication Student at TKM College of Engineering, Kerala, India. He is passionate about using technology to develop complex solutions in order to affect progress in his community and worldwide. He has experience in the fields of ethical hacking and cybersecurity, fueling his love of these subjects. His work has led to his recognition as a 2018 Millennium Fellow by the Millennium Campus Network and United Nations Academic Impact. Nadeem is the Campus Director for the TKM College of Engineering Millennium Fellow cohort, one of only three colleges selected from across Asia.


Alyssa Shah

Regional ambassador: New York

Alyssa is a freshman in high school and has always had a passion for science and technology. This past summer, she was one of 20 applicants selected to attend Dartmouth Institute for Security, Technology, and Society summer program and one of 30 selected to participate in the National Security Agency and National Science Foundation GenCyber Program, where she received the award for the outstanding team member. Alyssa was also selected to participate in the United State of Women summit as a change maker scholar. She is a GirlUp United Nations Foundation community leader, a presenter for Strong -The Magazine for Girls, and serves on the New York City HRA Youth Leadership Council. Alyssa also founded a program to educate teens on substance abuse.
